Omar Gutiérrez and Ivanna Gutiérrez
Formed by two charismatic young brother and sister pianists originating in Baja California, are two outstanding classical pianists and composer. Their experience and dynamic presentations at each of their concerts have led them to offer National and International concert tours, being acclaimed on three continents (America, Europe and Asia) for their brilliant style when playing the piano, a powerful and elegant stage presence.
Recently, in October 2019, Omar and Ivanna toured Shanghai, China, performing at the University of Shanghai USST in the "Hu Jiang" International Concert Hall and recorded a LIVE DVD video production of the concert "The Art of Two Pianos" This concert was part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the ROC.
IIn September / October 2017, they recorded their second record production '' El Arte a Dos Pianos '' in the prestigious Recording and Theater Studio '' Teatro delle Voci '' in Venice, Italy. their second CD is dedicated to Dance-infused classical music for two pianos includes works by A. Borodin, Saint-Saens, A. Kachaturiam, A. Marquez, Piazzolla and Gutiérrez. As well as the realization of the international tour of concerts in Mexico, Italy and France 2017 where they offered various concerts in highly prestigious venues such as: Elisa Carrillo Hall of the Centro Cultural Mexiquense Bicentenario, Fonoteca Nacional, The Royal Palace of Genoa, Italy, La Maisson du Mexique in Paris, FR. among others, where they have been recognized for their great performance and musical expression.
In 2013 they made a concert tour of Spain, appearing on various stages including the Cord Vardolet Foundation in Valldemossa, the city where the composer F. Chopin lived for a season of his life. They also recorded their first record production and professional video clips at the renowned recording studio Calma Studi in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
Awards, recognitions and highlights in their careers:
• In 2019 they were recognized and selected to represent the art and culture of B.C. in the KPBS program in California, United States "Crossing South" in commemoration of its tenth anniversary.
• Omar obtained first place in the International Piano Competition, V Classical Piano Biennial.
• Ivanna Obtained the award and recognition as Baja California Artistic Talent for three consecutive years. (2008 - 2011)
• Co-Authors of the Best Seller Book in Spain "La Forja de un Maestro" published in 2018.
• Omar & Ivanna were selected in the international artist magazine "Baja Artists" and in 2013 they obtained the "Silver 1000" award in the category of Performing Artists.
2020 International Seminar on Musical Interpretation by the International School of Orchestral Studies NAVARRO LARA.
Honorable Mention at The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
• In the 2012-2013 cycle, the brothers were representatives of the International Rotary Club as an image of youth, art and culture.
They have dedicated themselves to the study of classical music for more than 18 years under the tutelage of international concert pianists and piano teachers from Russia and Armenia such as, Oxana Bulgakova, Ella Korobchenko, Evgeny Korolkov, Ella Melik Husyean, Ara Ghukasyan, Galina Pashniak.
In addition to receiving Honorable Mention at The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
They have also received master classes with renowned soloists such as Master Faritza Chibirova from Russia, pianist David Gómez from Spain, musical composition courses with maestro José Echeverria Roman and orchestral conducting with maestro F. Navarro Lara from Spain.
They are currently active classical music concert performers, performing at festivals, concerts, competitions, radio and television shows. Likewise, Omar and Ivanna are artists committed to their community, participating in concerts with charitable causes, they have worked with foundations in Mexico such as: Grupo Reto A.C., Fundación IREE, Club Rotario Calafia, Scolarship Foundation, among others.
His repertoire includes some of the most important concerti , soloist works, duets four hands and two piano works in piano literature: Beethoven, Liszt, Grieg, Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Gershwin, Castro, Ponce, Carrasco, Marquez, and original works of OMAR GUTIERREZ .
